Weekend In Review -

It was another busy weekend...it started out with the trip to the local high school football game to watch the Cumming Bulldogs play the Lathonia Bulldogs (I told you the people in Georgia don't have much imagination)...BTW, I watched the Georgia Bulldogs...yes Bulldogs...play on Saturday. I didn't bring my camera to the game but it was a very exciting game...the Bulldogs...oh...the Cumming Bulldogs had a guy named Canon...he played quarterback and scored two touchdowns...he returned punts and kickoffs and returned one for a touchdown...and he played defensive back and had one interception. It was a packed stadium...i plan on going to all their other games...

On Saturday Cameron had baseball practice. His first game is on Saturday. It looks like he'll be playing second base...his best position...

On Sunday we went to the "Yellow Daisey Festival" at Stone Mountain...

As most of you know I had some health problems a few years ago. I had problems with my stomach, I lost about 25 pounds, and I went to specialists all over the world to try and figure out why I couldn't keep food down and whether I would survive...my illness was finally diagnosed and I was given medication...I've been fine for the past several years...until this weekend. I had another episode and I am very concerned that my illness has returned. During the Yellow Daisey Festival I started feeling the same as I did several years ago...nauseous and sick to my stomach...if I don't start feeling better I will have to find the doctor who helped me a few years ago...as you can imagine - I'm very nervous and concerned...!!!!

Here's the entrance to the Festival...see the big, yellow Daisey...

The festival had a lot of crafts, food, and music...

Cameron and I didn't stay at the festival long...we decided to go off on our own to do some "manly stuff"...we decided to do some mountain climbing...but we couldn't...so we did the "Sky Hike" at Stone Mountain instead...

I am concerned that with the return of my illness...I might not make it this time...I've put my estate in order and so now I plan on living life to its' fullest...I'll be mountain climbing, sky diving, scuba diving, etc...I'm going to enjoy my final days...sniff, sniff, sniff...

Oh yea...and by the way...here was my lunch at the Yellow Daisey Festival...TWO DEEP FRIED TWINKIES...with powdered sugar...yum, yum...I highly recommend them...they were delicious...!!!!

I'll keep you posted on my health... ;-)

Ken, reading this and some of your other blogs reminds me to ask - what's going on with the book you're writing? When is publishing date?
I will check with someone else about the illness to see if you're serious or joking. Hope it's the latter.

Gena & Phil's mouths are watering looking at that Twinkie. They want to know if they're included in your estate planning and if they are they'll abstain from eating sugar coated Twinkies. It looks like you all had a fun weekend, now you know why I'd prefer going to a Hawk or Eagle game rather than the NYG's back when.

Bonnie,

I'm still working on my book...slowly but surely...I had some distractions over the past several months ;-) but I will get it done. The publisher is already complaining that I've missed several deadlines :)

As far as my health...thankfully...I'm not having a relapse...I was just feeling sick for a couple of days because of a gallon of grease sitting in my stomach...from the fried twinkies :)

Mom,
Make sure you don't introduce Philip to fried twinkies...unless you want another Belmar episode...
Your Favorite Son,
Kenny
