It was a very busy weekend. Sheri returned from her quarterly visit back to St. Louis. She works from home for the US Airforce but she's required to fly back to Scott Airforce base on a quarterly basis. This works out well because it gives her a chance to reconnect with her friends in St. Louis. She had a great time seeing friends and family...thank you for taking care of her...
While she was gone Jim and Bonnie came in to help me around the house. I am a very lucky man to have in laws like Jim and Bonnie...not only do they take care of the kids they also do a lot of work around the house...I wish I had as much energy as them...I also really enjoy their company. The kids and I love them so much we even let them come with us to McDonald's on Saturday... One of the highlights of their visits is when Jim and I sneak away to play some golf. We've worked in two rounds of golf...I won't talk about the first round...I'd rather focus on the round today. We usually play 9 holes...I usually lose 11 balls...and I usually shoot a 59. But not today...today I had 1 birdie...2 pars...I didn't lose ANY balls...ZERO mulligans...ZIPPO gimmies...and I shot a 45. That's about as good as it gets for me.
On Saturday Cameron had a baseball game. The coach is really noticing Cameron's skills. He has him playing shortstop and batting first. Cameron didn't disappoint the coach...he ripped a single his first time up...stole two bases...and scored...on defense he made a spectacular play at short stop stopping a potential rally...leading his team to a 6 - 3 victory.
Kelsie had ANOTHER friend sleep over last night...a very nice girl who is actually from Georgia. On Saturday night we all went to the Cumming County Fair. It had been a while since we went to a fair...we had a lot of fun! Don't worry I stayed away from the deep fried twinkies...I focused instead on deep fried Ho-Ho's...deep fried Suzie Q's...and funnel cakes...burp...
BTW, the prodical cat returned last Sunday...Jewel said, "The litter box isn't greener on the other side of the fence..."
Below is a montage of the weekends events...
